Biking on Penken Mountain The Action Mountain Penken is the perfect place for adrenalin junkies. Various bike trails and singletracks with North-Shore features, jumps and banked curves. Freeriders love the Almdudler Himmelfahrt, the Almdudler Höllenritt and the Höllenritt Trail. Those who like to take it down a gear travel with the Penkenbahn and the Kombibahn Penken to the Penken Leisure Tour, which offers great views and a relaxed cycling experience for the whole family. Mayrhofen offers 20 mountain bike routes, which are separated from the hiking trails. All obstacles can be left out by taking the chickenway. Hiking on Penken Mountain What better way to enjoy the breathtaking views and the unspoilt pastures than by foot on one of the many mountain hiking trails. Choose between ten tour suggestions with difficulty levels from easy to hard. From leisurely walks to more challenging hut-to-hut tours which last several days. Rock climbing on Penken Mountain The Action Mountain offers two rock climbing areas with more than 60 routes to try out your skills. The climbs at Gschöss and Knorren will test mind and body, especially arms and legs. Gschöss offers more ambitious climbers 21 routes ranging in difficulty from grade 4 to 8. Beginners can get some climbing experience on the "via-ferrata for everybody" and ask for advice at one of the four alpine schools in Mayrhofen, before moving on to steeper climbs. Paragliding deluxe Penken Mountain is a great location for paragliding and bookmarked even by professionals for its outstanding thermals. There are two launch sites: The summit station of the Penken chairlift and the launching ramp south of the Knorren. Funballz The Funballz at the Penken reservior are fun for the whole family. You can get inside the big, inflatable, transparent plastic balls and run and roll over the water. |
