Hiking & Mountaineering in Mayrhofen/Tyrol
In summer, you start off from the Penken and Ahorn cable car mountain stations to numerous mountain excursions and high altitude hikes. Every mountaineer has a wide range of mountain pastures to choose from with well constructed tracks which also provide endless hiking possibilities to families and senior guests.
In only six and a half minutes, our guests are safley lifted up by the Ahornbahn, Austria's biggest cable car, to the beautiful Ahorn Plateau which gives way to the 372km² High Mountain Natural Preserve of the Zillertal Alps. Mountaineers will not only find interesting day excursions but also hut-to-hut hikes that last several days. You can find numerous hiking suggestions in our interactive hiking map.
